(It is also the anniversary of Shakespeare's birthday.) In the Catalan region of Spain, the day is celebrated by giving a book and a flower to a loved one.

Dr. Wanda Dawson, Pamlico County Superintendent of Schools, met with the Third Graders and shared two of her favorite Dr. Seuss books. The students interacted in the reading of Green Eggs and Ham, chiming in on the repeated phrase, " I do not like them Sam I Am. I do not like Green Eggs and Ham."
Her second book was O, The Places You'll Go!

Fourth Graders were entertained by Pamlico County Board of Education president Mr. Reggie Hawkins. Mr. Hawkins shared his favorite Dr. Seuss book by reading  I Can Read With My Eyes Shut.
